Generate button
Generate creates an EDI standard file from the imported data. It translates documents from a QIMPORT file to an EDI format, compliance checking is performed and errors, if any, are captured.
The document to be translated must first be moved from the host application into a QIMPORT file. If the document fails any one of the many compliance checks built into the translator, the document will be stored as Correct Errors (see Correct Errors Outgoing) until corrections can be made. After corrections are made, the documents return to Generate to be retranslated and again verified for compliance with EDI standards.
Click on Generate, the system will begin processing the data in the QIMPORT file, if any.
