OUTGOING TRANSACTION SETS - converts a company's internal data received from applications software or keyboard input into standard EDI format (ANSI X12 or EDIFACT) and manages the transmission of that data to the communications facility.

 

INCOMING TRANSACTION SETS - converts data received from the communications facility for company use to either be printed or transferred to a software application internal data.

 

Other functions include editing data for errors and standards compliance, tracking and reporting, audit trail, unattended operations, communications management, trading partner profile management.
