The oldest continuing private company in the EDI world. For over 21 years
Qualedi has been dedicated in assisting small business operators to become
EDI proficient. Qualedi believes that EDI does not have to be big, cumbersome
or costly to implement. Qualedi, Inc. provides electronic transaction solutions
that allow businesses to manage their business instead of their data.
Longevity
The initial Qualedi system was created four years after the X12 Committee
of ANSI – American National Standards Institute - first started codifying
the EDI standards in 1979. We have had a long association with Government
work as The APL Group, Inc. (d.b.a. “Eventra”) starting in 1983,
and as Qualedi Inc., its successor company in 2000.
U.S. Government Business
SBA. Our first federal contract was in the early 90’s when we were assigned
the task of setting up a dozen or so EDI training offices, hosted by the Small
Business Administration, as a result of the FACNET effort for distributing
Government “Requests For Quotes” to all suppliers and manufacturers.
We sent teams to train the trainers at over a dozen locations including Alaska
and Hawaii. Each location had two Qualedi work-stations, communicating with
each other so that each could send test P.O.’s and receive invoices,
and vice versa.
USDA. In the late ’90’s, we contracted with the U. S. Department
of Agriculture to provide to each State one or more Qualedi work-stations,
through which the school systems could order surplus food for school lunches.
Over sixty systems were installed.
U.S. Government Implementation Guide Support. Qualedi software has been configured
to work with the following federal implementation guides: AAFES Army and Air
Force Exchange Service, DFAS Defense Finance and Accounting Service, DLA Defense
Logistics, DGSC Director General Strategic Change, DCSC Superior Court, DOD
Department of Defense, DPSC Medical, DSCC Defense Supply, Navy SAACONS Navy
and Civilian Agencies and Department of Interior IDEAS applications.
Commercial Business
Qualedi is well represented in Manufacturing / Distribution, Carriers and
Retail with over 4000 systems installed over the years. Qualedi has been privileged
to work with hundreds of major corporations tailoring our systems to their
specific specifications including; 3M, American Airlines, American Express,
Boeing, Buster Brown, Campbell’s, Dow Chemical, Food Lion, General Motors,
Georgia Pacific, Home Depot, IBM, Kmart, Lowe’s, Pitney Bowes, Sears,
Target, Tropicana, Toys R us and Wal-Mart.
